It’s freezing outside today even though spring has been here for six days now… I wanted to do a fun look that was inspired by an outfit that Rihanna wore. Anyone that knows me knows that Rihanna is MY BOO, so I really bang with her.
This look is really fun and bright, feel free to experiment and really play up the colors!
I started out by priming my eyes, filling in my brows, and adding a white base on to the lid. A white base will help to make your bright colors appear more vibrant.
Using a Sigma E55 shading brush, I applied a bright orange shadow from my BH Cosmetics 120 Palette all over the lid. I then blended out the edges with my finger. Sometimes, finger blending produces better results than brush blending… I’ve been using this technique a lot lately.
Next, using a Sigma E70 medium angled shading brush, I applied a deep cranberry shade to my outer V. You want to make sure that you’re only placing the shadow and not blending just yet because still want the colors to be very distinct. Use the angled brush to your advantage when placing the shadow on the crease.
Then, I blended the cranberry shade out with the same finger that I blended the orange out with and then blended the two tones together. I also applied a really hot pink shade in between the two shades and blended with my Sonia Kashuk blending brush.
To finish off the look, I added my favorite liquid liner and three coats of mascara. I kept it simple on the bottom by just using a black liner to line my waterline.
Hope you enjoy this look!
